I am not an AAer, but I do like that line in 'To Agnostics': "We talked of intolerance, while we were intolerant ourselves. We missed the reality and the beauty of the forest because we were diverted by the ugliness of some of its trees.” p.50.

And also, a few things in Bill's Story, such as "I fancied myself a leader, for had not the men of my battery given me a special token of appreciation? My talent for leadership, I imagined would place me at the head of vast enterprises which I would manage with the utmost assurance. The drive for success was on. I'd prove to the world I was important", because it reminds me of my own egotisticalism lol.

Also, when it talks somewhere about the alcoholic being an actor, and the story where it says all the world's a stage and I was chief critic.

Cool

"...But if you really and truly want to quit drinking
liquor for good and all, and sincerely feel that you
must have some help, we know that we have an answer
for you..." BB pg181

This just confirmed my thinking...........I may live my life one day at a time, but I quit drinking.........for good.

I love everything in the Big Book particularly the first 164 pages .
One of my favorites is ''being rocketed in to a 4 the dimension '' page 25 .
