Smile Here we go again

Here I go again, attempting to quit drinking entirely. Longest sober time in past has been 2 episodes of 6 months. This time, I'd like to think it's for good. Got 3 days. Feels nice...

Best Wishes to all.

hi Dnm,

congratulations on the decision to give this another go1

let me just add that what we'd like to think isn't nearly as important as what reality actually is.

you've likely checked out SR for a bit and come across the oft-mentioned "plan" concept? if not, here's a thread on it: http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/5719034-post1.html

Drinkna,

Hi and welcome. My advice is, be very afraid of what booze will do if you continue to relapse.

My last, and final quit, shook me to my core.

Things were very shaky for many months.

I was in a personal hell several times a day.

Thank God there were moments of pure clarity ea. Day.

Usually, they were in my house, laying in my bed.

That was my safe place.

Stay clean or else the next relapse recovery could be like the hell on earth I have just lived through.

Never going back there. So help me God.

Stay clean. Booze is poison.

Thank you. Love Beatles, Love Australia also. Visited there in 2006, and I'd like to return. Whereabouts in Oz? Cheers.
