200 Days!
200 Days!
Since it is after midnight today marks 200 days of sobriety for me!
I decided that 2016 would be the first of many sober years for me, and I am so grateful to SR for being an endless support for me. The past 200 days I have gone from obsessing about alcohol to enjoying the day-day events life brings: time with my kids, husband, successes at work, and personal celebrations. I feel better physically and emotionally, I am down 33 pounds, and have been able to keep the weight off. I also like who I see when I look in the mirror, the puffy eyes and red face are gone.
Life is still not perfect, I worry about money, I struggle to fall asleep because my mind is too active (which is why I am on here right now!!), and my mom has dealt with some health issues. Each of these items while stressful, is so much easier because I am sober.
I am especially grateful to the January class, I am blessed to have found such a supportive and caring group of people to be on this journey with.
I look forward to continuing to learn and grow.
For those of you teetering on the edge of whether or not it is worth it, or if you can stop drinking, I promise it is, and you can!!
Have a great day everyone.
❤️ Delilah

Thanks August, I always enjoy reading your posts too! You are very encouraging to all. The 300s sound wonderful, and then we will be closing in on a year!
