Flawed

Wow...I never thought I would make that many days. Monday I have staffing in outpatient to discuss the stepping down process to get ready to graduate. I got a job this week and I start in two weeks. It's in the same field I left to get sober, and I never thought I would be able to get back into my career after leaving my last job the way I did due to my drinking. I am starting to look for somewhere to volunteer to give back to a community that helped me. I am more social now than I ever was when I drank with all kinds of new sober friends. My anxiety is gone and my sleep is better than it has been in years. If you are just starting out or coming back, hang in there....it gets better and you can accomplish anything, I promise.

On volunteering are there any recovery centers in your area that need volunteers? I start at our local one tomorrow. I have always volunteered but this time my thinking is being with people who are like minded will keep me mindful.

Any volunteer work is good, this was just a thought.
