Congratulations on your decision. Stay with it. It took me about 3 weeks to start feeling the positivity so understand it takes a bit of time. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I started feeling tired again tomorrow but at least today has sunshine. Stay with it. Freedom is ahead!

I've stopped so many times, I know 1000% I'm not sleeping that first night. Second and third nights are fitful, but it gets better from there. Slowly. I do know that 4 hours of sober sleep is better than 6 or more passed out. Hope you find some inspirational things to read.

Hoping you get some sleep MrsLamp. The insomnia has become a part of my "playing the tape". Never again. It is so different from "normal" insomnia...

We are here for you

Hi thanks so much for replies, got maybe three hours but it's so true that sober rest is tons better than drunken sleep. Difficult last night as OH drunk and drink in the house, bit of tension cause I didn't have drink, so feel so much stronger I got through. Thanks again I'll stay here reading and posting. x
