Day 3
It's Day 3 and I feel pretty damn good. Excuse my language. I've seen a therapist and I started talking about the things that were really bugging me. I recommend seeking professional help if you you really need to get rid of bad habits that may lead to drinking. I've made a couple of life changes. Just a few a day, not too overwhelming huh? lol. I found that I am not stuck in my own life, and there is a way out of the ruts I face by practicing better life choices. It takes lots of practice.
I'm starting to run and exercise which helps get rid of the toxins as well. I'm out of the house a lot more, which can lead to depression and dependence (being inside too much would breed bat habits). The more you go out and get out there, the more you you are not tethered, so that trapped feeling I was enduring is starting to fizzle out.
By no means am I saying I'm out of the woods yet. I still have dreams where I wake up and I'm like .."nooo I messed up!", only to realize it's just a stupid dream. I'm going to continue and read more books so that I can train myself and my subconscious towards a better life of sobriety. My goal right now is 21 days and I hope I can reach it. On this journey this site will be somewhat of a journal of progress. I'm willing to share more of my experiences in an effort to help myself and others who are struggling. Good luck to everyone!!
