Day one again
I didn't realize the last time I was here was 11/2013. Since then I've had a couple days here and there with no drinks but haven't committed myself to not drink again.
Hoping this time will be better. Any words of advice and well wishes are welcome. Excited and nervous to start my life again..without booze

Welcome back! I've made many sporadic exits and returns to this site over the past 2.5 years as well. I'm approaching six months sober and the difference between this time and all the others was finally surrendering. It was easy to do the days, weeks, and months following a bad incident, but the hard part was having the old sense return of "I got this". Getting complacent is the first step towards relapse for me, so my advice is join a the new comers monthly support thread for July, find some type of in real life support (AA, SMART Recovery, Etc), and get honest.
Good to see you & nice to meet you having a plan to stay sober will help monumentally here's some links

If you are committed to sobriety, 2.5 years between posts isn't going to help you.
It's really difficult to quit drinking on your own, some type of face to face support in your home town would be helpful.
