18 months sober!
Wow, it's been 18 months! I remember posting here when I started. Very depressed then. Life is so much better now. 1/2 from being free of the alcohol chemical part and 1/2 from working all 12 steps and changing my way of looking at and acting in life.
The promises are real, and I urge you to try AA. You think the people there are trying to con you or something, when in fact they're just giving back what helped them. I enjoy meetings and the big book is written by those who have been there.
Since quitting I've saved my marriage, gotten a promotion, lost 10 lbs and my blood pressure is 110/70 (not 180/90). And the biggest thing is waking up early Monday morning and feeling happy!
