Worried about blood test

Hello' well I haven't had a blood test for about 3 years but today I saw my Doctor to get more medication for my anxiety and racing thoughts (EFEXOR-XR and Olanzapine) and he want to be get a blood test. In those 3 years I had put on around 15-20 kgs because of the olanzapine and had become an Alcoholic. I'm more worried about the alcohol problem though.

Try to think of it this way - if there is a problem, you'll know about it and can do something about it...

if there's not a problem (which was my scenario) you'll have stopped drinking in time

I was on olanzepine in 2002 and put on 5 kilos in a week. Can you change to a different drug? Its the worst for weight gain.

The alcohol is making your anxiety much worse. I was on olanzapine briefly for off label use. I couldn't stop eating on it and stopped after a month or so. You need to stop drinking if you want the anxiety to dissipate.

Biting the bullet and getting tests done IS scary. But if your dr says to do it, and perhaps you know in your gut you need to - it is best to go ahead and do it, as Dee says.

I put it off a long time and finally did. The news was not good (as I had really known it wouldn't be) but have been able to deal and heal.

Prayers for you. Good luck.

Hopefully all the tests will come back with good news and if there is a problem detected, then your dr can advise you.

Hey guys just wondering, have any of you tried to fast while quitting alcohol? Like does it make the withdraw symptoms less severe?

I would check with your doctor but I would think fasting would make it even worse as your body needs nutrients to heal. Have you quit drinking yet?

Ozmey tomorrow make a day 1 bud and create an accountability thread for yourself to keep on track I'm not sure if you have joined the class of July 2016 in newcomers but that will also really help

The sooner you quit drinking the sooner things get better nothing changes if nothing changes bud

I would ask the doctor about detoxing before you fast or have the blood test. Be safe!!

I got a blood test and urine test but looks like I have to wait a few days before I can get the results. For some reason they said the urine test is testing for bugs or something, whats with that?

got the results. Doctor said everything is in good health except for my liver. He said its too high whatever that means.

He said if your liver gets too high you can get liver damage, he also gave me a referral to see a specialist adding anxiety, depression and substance abuse disorder: alcohol.

God dammit
