not sure

This is confusing to me, I'm not sure I'm on the right page. I know I have a problem and I'd like to talk about it, can someone answer if I'm in the right place

In two hours I'll be asleep, have to be up at 0400 edst for work. Long story, after 11 years of sobriety fell off the wagon HARD about six weeks ago. Can't seem to get back on.

Do you have a sponsor? Have you tried AA? Think back 11 years ago (which is AWESOME sober time BTW).. what strategies did you use to get sober and stay sober.. do you need to see a doctor ?

You posted in a chat admin forum, not the chat room, Todd
I moved your post to Newcomers forum. You;ll find both response and support there

The chat portal (at least on my PC ) is directly under the welcome at the right hand top of page

Very close friend passed away unexpectedly, took his daughter in, always thought of her as one of my own to start, but the stress of the loss and now the financial strain plus one of my own daughter's seems to feel I'm favoring the new 'child', I'm not but I'm just trying my best to give her the support she needs to get through this, it's all become top much. I was into healthy living, working out and MMA, but now I don't seem to care, even if I try. This is all in the last six weeks

And yes I tried AA, years ago, and I'll keep my opinions to myself but that's not for me

I have a wonderful wife and loving supportive family and they are all upset with my sudden downturn. I just can't seem to get my head back on straight. Kinda feel like I've been hit by a train

welcome, todd,
if AA is not for you, then check out the "secular connections" forum farther down; there are different routes and people travelling them.

welcome, hope you stick around.

Thank y'all, and after having 11+ years I really hope to turn around and be able to tell any newbies that, yes, you can. We all fall, it's getting back up again that makes the difference. Now if I could just follow my own advice I'd be golden

Trust. That's food for thought. Feel like I'm trying to be everything to everyone, but end up being nothing to anybody
