Hello Newbie Here 😁

had absolutely no idea how I would feel when I quit drinking. It will be day 8 tomorrow but it's been a journey of unexpected events. Had no idea about the occasional headaches and that moment when you're like.... Wait why do I feel dizzy and nauseous and just generally feeling average. Sometimes I feel pretty good about myself and other days it's just ughhhhh. I really hope that some of this withdrawal goes away soon 😔 But I am very happy I made this decision as if I hadn't I fear it would of eventually have done me in for the long haul.

Welcome to the family and congrats on 8 days sober!

I'd say you're probably done with the physical withdrawal now. Formulate a plan to stay sober so you never have to go thru this again.

Hey thanks 👍 The plan ...... The plan is to not drink period. Would love to say I could just have a drink but that's not the case. I used to enjoy a drink with friends but secretly I know I always over did it and recently it hit me like a brick. Wake up, grow up and find yourself. It's very un Nerving once you realize you've been drunk so much that it became the norm and that essentially you're actually re finding who you are.... Bizarre

The finding of yourself is the exciting part. Not easy, but so worth it. Me, 6 months and would never return,no matter what. Welcome to SR Newstartfresh.
