Do you mean you drank? Start over again. If you have any left, pour it out. Don't give up. Try until you make it.

Well there's no use in dwelling on it. Move forward. Tomorrow's a new day. We've all been there.

And please don't punch yourself in the face.

Relapse is part of the process. It sucks, but you have two options: start over or push this and make it worse. It took me too many before I finally got it. Jump back on, you can do this!

I beg to differ. Relapse is part of addiction, not recovery. It often happens, but that doesn't mean it's something that should be expected.

Hi MissNewLife

I'd try and think of it this way - now you know you need to work a bit harder next weekend. Why not start making a plan for a sober weekend right now?

D

Watch your trigger points (Friday is classic) and trigger people. Be sure to eat well before you venture out for any reason.

I'm glad you came right back and posted! I agree with Dee, it was so important for me to plan out something/anything for the time I would have been drinking in the first few weeks.

Sounds like you and your friend are both struggling a little. Is there someone else you can go to meetings with for a bit?
