I thought I'd write a thank you to everyone that reads and replys to the posts. I don't feel that I have the necessary wisdom yet to give sound advice but it is comforting that we are all reading the same words that someone has typed, and the replies therein can also provide us guidance for our own situations. Very cool.

ch76, I'd like to echo dandy's post. The only "qualification" you need here is to have been affected by someone else's drinking. And honestly, I don't know that "giving advice" is what it's all about so much as it's just sharing experiences. Knowing that I was not alone meant so much to me when I was new, and hearing about the ups and downs of those who are walking their own recovery path alongside me means so much to me now.

Please never hesitate to post b/c you think you don't have the necessary experience or don't know what to tell someone to do. None of us here truly know what is best for another; we can only share what has worked (or failed catastrophically) for us.
