All, I've made it now through three weekends with lots of summery socializing without drinking. It's a big accomplishment for me. It has allowed me to get a grasp back on my life and do simple things like watering my plants and drinking water when I wake up right away. Sounds routine but committing to small self care things is actually pretty important because I neglecting taking care of myself for so long.

Anyway, feeling good and productive. Thanks for all the support

Great work! Self-care is so important. It has taken me a bit to adjust to that and being gentle with myself in ways I wasn't for so long.

Sounds like you're doing great. I think it's all those little daily things that makes the difference. It's like building a foundation that you can actually use as a starting point to eventually move on to making bigger changes when it's time. John
