Asking for help works

Dunno if this is right place to post this. I had posted earlier struggling to get help, scared of work. etc

After asking for help today from a very close person, I have the work situation on good terms, I am properly detoxing, I'm on my way to a new me again. I wanted to say thanks to all the kind words, it's not the last you've heard of me. Sounds weird, but the biggest thing that was scaring me was detox, and it's making me so happy right now, regardless of what I feel (cuz it's not pretty), I know the end is near.

Glad you're on your way AllToWell. It is indeed scary to take that first step. Hang in there.

Yes.... Hang in there! You can do this and it will continually get better with each passing day. Try not to get discouraged when those bad days and voices sneak in, for they surely will. But you will notice they don't last as long and get farther apart the longer you stay on this path. Wishing you all the best on your journey.

The longer you're sober, the better you will feel.
