It occurs to me that the only other times in life hat I recall a "monthaversary" feeling so significant was when my kids were under the age of two and prior to that when my husband and I started dating. So I guess if I'm correlating the significance of a monthaversary to my sobriety then somewhere deep down the AV is weakening.

I also suppose I ought to remember that with the AV it's going to be like playing Survivor, much like parenting sometimes is... I need to Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast that little SOB.

So... Four months today... Which requires a happy dance :-)

not an exact science --- basically just ignore but it's been really loud for over a week. Part of me is ready to throw in the towel

Congrats on four months. My AV likes to tease me as well, every time I conquer it I feel a teeny bit stronger, have a teeny bit more self respect for myself and feel more powerful knowing the final decision regarding drinking or not is my responsibility and totally in my power.

Experiment success ... Equal parts fresh squeezed lemon and orange juice, splash of coconut water, over crushed ice with a slice of orange and then topped with seltzer.
