night one complete

Hi everyone,
Just want to follow through: night one is in the books. It was not as bad as my last night one a few years ago. I got some sleep, eventually. I had some vicious nightmares, though.
Anyway, now I'm up and focusing on the day.
Onward!
-Malcolm

That's great For me the first 3 or 4 days were the toughest but after that it became much easier. I had vivid dreams for a month or so. some of them were just bizarre so I enjoyed them.

Getting yourself past "I'll quit tomorrow instead" is haaaaarrrrd.

Now you can roll! Good for you!

Day 1 is the hardest, good news is you never have to do it again.

Glad to hear it Malcolm, getting any sleep at all on night 1 is a huge plus in my book. Stay safe and stay close to SR if you need us!

Woo! Great job getting through night one! You can do it just keep moving forward and remember that if you ride out the cravings they last a lot shorter then you would think!

Are you keeping a journal of how you are feeling, what your thoughts are, and what your short term goals are for the next couple days or the week? I have found being able to write it all down and then be able to look back when I am having a weak moment that it has been an invaluable tool.

Keep posting and keep going!

That first night was super hard for me. Glad it wasn't as bad as your last day 1. I'm on day 9. The 4th night was my good sleep night. I had nightmares last night, which was weird, but still woke up feeling good and rested. Way to go. Hope you feel good throughout the day. Sending good vibes your way.
