Article on why thinking about feelings is important

This article says that people who experience and think about more nuance in their negative feelings are less likely to drink heavily in response to stress, amongst other things: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/05/op...hats-good.html

It reminded me of how I often see people here (and I myself also) post things like "I don't know why I'm talking about this" or "I shouldn't think so much about this". Culturally we may be encouraged not to think too much about bad feelings... but it could be good for us!

Thank you for the Article Fantail

I think it is better to exam our feelings, even if they are negative ones, than to ignore them and let them fester and corrode us
