"Psychopaths always see themselves as some kind of victim-no matter how horribly they've treated someone else. Nothing is ever their fault-they've always been wronged in one way or another. To them , the problem is not their lying, cheating, stealing and/or abuse. The problem is that you started to notice all of those things. Why couldn't you just remain happy with the idealization phase?! How dare you betray them by standing up for yourself?! Encounters with these people are like drowning in a black hole/because no matter how much they hurt you, it will never be their fault."
Oh my goodness, yes , yes, yes. Never have I had it summed up more succinctly!

So let me get this straight as long as I'm in the idealization phase towards them they are happy because they are getting the idealization that they so badly crave???????

I am very good with red flags now.
Red flags used to set off excitement in my tummy and attract me towards A's, mentally unstable, narcs etc. Felt like a magnet.
Now red flags feel differently in my body, they warn me to walk away.
