Getting through day two.

Physically, I feel all right. Kind of tired, have a headache. Head was MUCH worse last night, so I took a sleeper and went to bed at 8:30. Watched a movie with my boyfriend yesterday afternoon (Deadpool!), asked him to make the comfort food run so I wouldn't be tempted to stop somewhere on the way.
He is at work today, but I got a call out for work so that killed some time.

Checked in with my friend/acquaintance who's 2 months in to her own sobriety, she is bringing me to her meeting tomorrow.

No craving yet. Stopped at the store for ingredients so my afternoon will be filled with cooking dinner (and therefore also cleaning my monster pile of dishes). While BF is a musician and I also know many of the music scene folks, we're forgoing a show and going to the movies instead (Captain America this time).
As of this moment, I feel strong. I know that won't always be the case.

I hope everyone else is doing well today.

Hey, sounds good. Keep it up! I'm constantly trying to distract myself, but it seems to be working fairly well.

I'm glad things are going good so far It is nice that your BF is being supportive, it is always nice to have someone who is rooting for you and is willing to do things like not go to a show and going to the movies instead so that you aren't put in a bad situation or left home alone.

Keep moving forward, you can do it!

Thank you all! Dinner looks good for a recipe I made up as I went along and BF will be home any minute.

I never used to, a couple of boyfriends along the way introduced me to the "nerd life." I've even now seen all of the Star Wars movies, despite years of saying I never would, lol!

Sounds like you've got the "one day at a time" philosophy down. Keep it up, glad you're taking steps to maintain your sobriety.

We opted out of Captain America on the suggestion we see Iron Man 3 and the newest Avengers first. I'm anxiously awaiting Star Wars already too.

I AM becoming a nerd. But BF knows I draw the line at Star Trek, which is his fave. I'm digging in my heels. :P
