24 Weeks
24 Weeks
Wow. I am at 24 weeks (6 months) sober now. That seemed like such a far away goal when I started this journey. But one day at a time it adds up.
I made it through a Derby party this past weekend with no problem. Actually many folks came up and expressed their admiration/congratulations. I still can't get complacent. My reward will be some exercise and maybe a massage this week.
I have a counseling session this Friday and plan on keeping those going for the foreseeable future as I turn my sights on to a goal of one year.
Thanks to everyone on here that contributes. This site is a big part of my overall plan and really helps to keep me accountable.

@CaseyW - For me I have to have a plan to keep me accountable. Counseling sessions, this site, exercise routine, learn coping skills for any situation. My plan has multiple pieces that I can lean on if needed to help keep me focused.
I read the AA information and applied what was relevant to me but never went to an actual meeting.
So that would be my advice - create a plan that works for you and then work that plan.
