new to this-brother od on heroin

hi-- i am here to talk to anyone who can relate/help. My brother overdosed on heroin friday night and if it weren't for naltrexone admininstered by the EMS he would be dead. Not his first suicide attempt and i IVC'd him....i am at my wits end. trying to be as patient as i can...any suggestions?

Can you tell him about this site? If he's ready to get clean there is a lot of help here. Unfortunately, it's totally up to him though. You can't force an addict to do what they're not ready to do. Hopefully he's had enough and is ready.

I'm really sorry for what brings you here Yana but you've found a good place.

It depends a lot on your brother if he wants to get well or not IMO - but you'll find a lot of support here
