Longest binge

Hey guys,
I'm a binge drinker and was wondering how long for and how much alcohol was consumed in your biggest binge?
I think mine must have been around 700ml of hard liquor (vodka, scotch) per day for around 5 days.

Just curious to see how far everyone had taken it before it was too far and the decision was made to cut it out completely.
Lots of love

I don't remember because I blacked out. For a month. I'm sure it was a lot because there were a lot of empties. Not a pleasant memory, makes me feel anxious thinking back on those days even though it was many years ago.

My longest binge was about two years of everyday drinking.

This sounds like an AV question.

No matter what answers you get, you'll always have some 'better' than you and some 'worse', dim.

There's no such thing as 'too late to do something' though

Hows the sobriety going?

U got me beat...i once ...once.. drank a 1.75 ml of vodka in about 2.5 days...it wrecked me....

When i drank every night it was usually about 350 ml or less...

When i binged near the end...it was about 600 ml...max...3 times a month...

I never really could drink very much...compared to stories i have heard...

Sobrietys going a lot better than being drunk. Not trying to glorify my drinking in any way Dee was just curious what point everyone got to before it became too much. I suppose for motivation more than anything.

I was drinking a 5th of vodka every night for over a year. I didn't realize I had become a full blown alcoholic until I tried to quit and I went through withdrawal. I switched to beer thinking alcoholics don't bother with beer.

I thought alcoholics didn't bother with beer too until I was drinking 14-18 per night on the reg. I was an alkie from day one, just took 25 years to register. Better late than never!

I was an everyday drinker, usually beer, sometimes liquor. My last binge I blacked out for a week and had to go to the ER. Ive posted that story before, but it reminds me where I was.

No I didn't think you were glorifying at all Dim

what I meant was I know my AV could rationalise that I wasn't that bad...but it could also rationalise that I really was that bad, much worse than anyone else here...and that maybe I was one of those who could never stop for long...

I'm not trying to annoy you.

I've read your other thread now and I see you're worried about depression after a binge.

I think that's normal top a certain extent - but it did get worse and worse the more years I drank.

If you're concerned always see your Doctor

I agree that the actual quantity of alcohol is not that important - it's where it's taking you. The few times I started drinking for days on end I could get spaced out again with just a couple of quarts of beer, keep going back to the store a couple of times a day. I think it's because those episodes got so disturbing that I never turned into a daily drinker, which could have been my total ruination.

I get what Dee is saying. When I first came here I promised not to compare war stories, (although I have).

Too much for too long. My last one, I have no idea what I really consumed, because my blackout started during breakfast on Thursday, and I came out of it around midnight Saturday night while I was convincing the police not to take me away when they came to do a welfare check on me.

I just realized that I did not offer enough context in that post. I am not referring to this past Thursday/Saturday. This was February when I last drank. I'm probably being paranoid, but I just wanted to make sure you didn't think I drank this weekend. I'm in the wee small hours of day 54.

Daily for months, no idea on the amount as I simply drink until I black out, probably continue.

This may not be where you are coming from but I have asked similar questions in the past, in hindsight in my case it was my AV looking for someone who drank more than me in an effort to tell me I was ok but as I said that was me and may not be you at all.

Remember that our AV is cunning and baffling, we have to always be mindful of it's tricks and games.

My alcohol consumption just keeps increasing as does my tolerance. I drink daily(apart from when I try to stop) can easily drink a litre of vodka in a day, or a bottle of port, maybe three bottles of strong wine, I no longer have blackouts, hangovers are nothing like they use to be, in some ways I wish they were!
I am not a large lady so have no idea how I can drink such large amounts.
