Never felt so poorly
Congrats on day 5 although you probably don't feel like celebrating.
Withdrawals vary based on person, makeup and how you used to drink. Nothing to mess with. Normal is relative. Always best to go get checked out if you can.
Welcome to SR. Once you feel a bit better be sure to keep posting. Lots of good help here if you want it.

Unfortunately yes. Alcohol is very dehydrating and causes my blood sugar to drop. Not to mention a lot of vitamin deficiencies. Helps me to stay VERY hydrated. I take an electrolyte replacement called NUUN. Or gatoraide if all else fails (but its full of sugar so not the best option). Eat a balanced healthy diet without sugar (unless some ice cream is what I'm really CRAVING).
See your Dr, get a blood workup testing all the important micro nutrients (B1,12, folic acid, magnesium etc) so you know what you need to safely supplement with.

I think withdrawals are a bit different from one person to another. The main thing is to know that you can go to your dr if you are concerned with your symptoms. Day 5 is awesome!
I second or third or fourth the suggestion to get to a doctor or ER if necessary. Alcohol withdrawal is very serious business. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep checking in, let us know how you're doing. And DO NOT DRINK. That'll just start this whole crazy withdrawal process over again.
