Hi Hopefull!

We really can't say what's normal and safe for you--if you are not feeling well, you should see a doctor. Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous, even after a few days.

Very normal. That's 13 shots +. Alcohol detox is rough and can be dangerous. Do you have anyone with you?
Ya know, I have medically detoxed more times than I care to (or can) recall. There is no shame in that. Call you dr or go to ER. They can help and really make it much less painful and dangerous.
And then, you never have to feel this way again. Read here. There is tons of advice about how to take back your life! Good luck.

Yes, detoxing from alcohol can be dangerous. It's a good idea to call your dr or go to an ER if you feel unwell.

I have to agree with the others. It's better to go get checked out if you aren't feeling well, better safe than sorry.

Best wishes

Although quite normal to experience this, I strongly agree with the others, you should consider getting checked by a doctor and they may give you something to help you through the first week, which is pretty rough.

Don't risk it! I detoxed at home at it was THE dumbest thing I have ever done in life! It was awful! My doctor was thoroughly ticked with me when I decided to see him after 10 days of withdrawing. I didn't know how dangerous it was at the time and dont plan on there being a next time. Go see you doctor and let him/her know whats going on.

If you weren't sick day 2 detoxing after that much whiskey, that would abnormal. Get help if you are worried.

I would try and get some solids in you if possible. Something easy to digest, or maybe some comfort food. I always liked macaroni and cheese/soup.

Additionally, I'm with Frick, do you have someone that can be with you in the first 2-3 days? 2 months every day is a good stretch of boozin.
