Small word of encouragement..

It can be done....

Three years sober today! I think about alcohol so little anymore, the anniversary day almost past by un-noticed!

Good luck everyone. A wonderful life awaits..well, clear headed life at any rate..

I don't think there's really one secret method that's going to work for everyone. For me, I just came to the realization that I didn't want to live the rest of my life in a fog, hungover and sick more mornings than not. And after my accident, where nothing was hurt but some property and my car, I realized the sad state I was in. So when I woke up in the police station the next morning, I knew I was done with Alcohol.

I was also lucky I started dating - about 6mos after I quit - a wonderful woman who also didn't drink. She never really had, didn't care for it. Having her as a role model for how to go out and do very fun things without alcohol, was a tremendous help.
