Hi everyone,
Thank you in advance and I look forward to helping others.
Have been fighting alcoholism. Recently was five days off but 5 days back on up till now. I am hoping to make tomorrow a new day. I must face everything I have been avoiding over the last year (work & life).
My family has a history with alcolohism and my dad has told me you have to fight. Look the the pain and temptation in the eye and say "is that all you got?"

When I first came here I was drinking every day. Reading other's stories and suggestions helped me find the courage to change. I knew I was never going to be alone. I'm still here fighting. The hardest part of the battle is the voice in your head that you know is lying to you. To fight your own insticints and urges is a strange thing. I'm still relatively young (early 30s) I want to make this stick.

Thanks everyone. I'm so inspired by reading these forums, the support is amazing. I have been focusing on the past and regrets the last couple of days. I have screwed up multiple relationships in the past. While there is no hope of renewing these relationships I want to apologize for how I acted and pushed them away. To soon? Wait longer to my thoughts get more clear?
