One week under my belt

So, I'm wrapping up day 7 and feel pretty good.
Some random observations
I'm clear headed at work. I have answers and ask intelligent questions again.
Sleep isn't great as far as good solid dry nights sleep but the hours I do get provide so much more rest.
My face isn't red
My eyes aren't bloodshot
I'm eating
The shaking is almost gone, I still notice it a little, but I can put makeup on, take legible notes, sign my name, etc.

I'm sure there's more but that's off the top of my head at the moment.

This really is about re-learning how to live isn't it? How to react, what to do with my time, this is very different for me. Not sure what has flipped this time, but I'm embracing it and trying to build on it.

Thanks for reading!

Congrats on one week! I'm still new here, too, but these forums have made all the difference

GoingNowhere, I'm on day nine and you described it perfectly (with exception to putting on my makeup Lol!)

Good job! And, yes, I think we have to learn a lot about how to live in early recovery.

Only downside I'm dealing with right now is being itchy!! I am so so so itchy.

Trying to take it in stride, there are a lot of imbalances in my body that need to work themselves out.

Itchy itchy itchy!

Yes, the itchy thing...the skn is the largest organ of the body so it makes sense it would experience withdrawal, but it was annoying...I don't remember it lasting too long though.

You're doing all kinds of fabulousness...in many ways the first week is the hardest...congratulations!!!!

The itchy skin will pass, it is just your body adjusting. Congratulations on a week.
