I actually feel like socializing now
Its only day three for me but I have spent the last few years either hungover or drinking. For me, I always felt that people were annoying and I bailed on my friends when requesting to get together unless there was drinking involved. In fact, most of my friends will entice me out with booze even though many of them are not drinkers
I noticed now, 3 days sober that I actually look forward to running into people in town and I want to go and see my friends and family
Alcohol is evil, it keeps you from your loved ones and makes you hide in a shell of despair and shame. I have really learned to despise it like a bad, toxic old lover. I know its not good for me, im never going back.

Agree! I know that feeling of bailing on plans because of either being too hungover, or not wanting it to interfere with drinking. So much better on the other side. I find I am paying more attention to the other person rather than thinking about the next drink.
