Day 49!
I feel so wonderful. 49 days sober!
Life is getting so wonderful. I even asked a girl out already. She said no.
Or actually, she said that her husband wouldn't like it.
But that's ok. If you start dating again, you're going to get told no. That's the way it works. The main thing was that I've gone from being a drunk slob who would hardly leave the house and when I did, I was very bad off, to a regular person who can ask people out.
And since getting a girlfriend is one of my main goals, I'm also going to start speeddating, which I'm really looking forward to.
At least you know they're not married... hopefully.
Alcohol is on my mind very rarely nowadays. And if it is, it just flies by for a moment. Key is to accept it and it will go away. Accepting it is a gem I learned from Dee.
Btw, I have a question. I'm planning to post a YouTube music video every once in a while. Call it "The Tune of the Day". A song that makes me feel good, and you as well hopefully, and has a message that inspires to become better, to create a better life. To stay sober. To support you when you feel down. Humanity has created so many wonderful songs and I'd like to post one that is relevant for this forum every once in a while.
Problem is, I don't know how. I can post the link, of course. But I want to embed the video in my post. How do you do that?
For today's Tune of the Day, I will have to refer to the mini-YouTube on my profile page.
Wishing you all well!

Congrats on day 49 Mike I put dating off for months Mrs sw wouldn't do any date stuff for months & rightly so you don't need that in early sobriety and I had to learn how to stay sober before I even opened a relationship bk up
it's tough enough don't think I'm scuffing your plans just sharing good advice

You know, asking women out, getting coffee. It's a lot of fun to me. I sometimes can't resist it. Just the fun of seeing what the response is.
So I'm not taking it too seriously. It's too early in sobriety for that. But to get used to it again in a light, fun manner works well for me.
Thanks for the good advice though!
Congratulations on 49 days, Mike!

If I don't post, I'm out of town. And doing fine. The only cause for concern is when I do post about a relapse. Which I don't see happening. Ever.
To you, keep it up as well!
I hope to never see that post, or ever post that post myself. I also do not see that happening!
Thank you!
