I quit drinking to....
I quit drinking to heal my liver and brain.
I quit drinking to succeed at my career.
I quit drinking so I would no longer have a hangover every day.
To borrow from Dee.......
I could either keep drinking or have a healthy and good life.
I couldn't do both. Had to choose.

I quit drinking to get others off my back. At some point early on, I came to understand that I liked being sober more than being drunk. My life started to improve and my perceptions of the world around me started to change.
Slowly, misery was supplanted by some joy. Remarkable.
I think I'll stay on this side of the fence!

I quit drinking in order to be the woman, mother, wife, daughter and friend I was always meant to be - my authentic self. There was no way I could live up to my potential while stuck on the drunk merry-go-round.
I quit drinking to get the life back I once had.
I knew how wonderful living in a sober world was and needed to fix a stupid mistake of picking up. 10 months of sobriety and I am getting it back.
I also quit because I would have died at an early age with great misery.
