Two weeks in an hour
Very pleased to say that in an hours time I will have made it to day 14. I felt stronger today and went to a pub to say hello- it was boring so I went to a different pub to say hello to a few others- it was ok but boring so I text a friend who is currently sober, (we used to get smashed together most Sunday's), and we went to a pub with some good live music in- only stayed 45 mins as I was on my 5th pint of lemonade and feeling bloated.
We then went to an Indian restaurant and had an absolute feast.
All in all a successful day. Didn't crave at all, however now how ones mood can quickly change so am on guard.

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Two weeks wasn't that long ago for me and I remember how things were starting to look up -- feeling better, affairs starting to get in better order, etc. I'll bet you're really enjoying life without hangovers!
Do you feel ready to be around alcohol? For me, I think it was about four weeks. As long as you're looking after yourself and ready to take evasive action if it becomes necessary...
Looking forward to your 30 day post!

Congratulations on your two weeks, Jtmlk.
Long may it continue.
You wouldn't have found me in a pub at two weeks.
You must be strong.
Took me much longer to have that kinda strength.
I still won't go there without good reason.
I would caution you about wet places, but you seem to have it sussed.
I'll just leave you with an old proverb that I heard in the rooms of AA:
If you continue to hang out in the barber shop . . .
Sooner or later, you're gonna get a haircut.
