I've never created a thread here before but here it goes.. I have been an alcoholic since the first time I drank at 14 years old . I was tall for my age and in Canada w church group (let me into some adult establishments) , boy did I embarrass everyone. I have quit drinking a thousand times and continue to return but the sobriety stretches are getting longer so I'm learning and have been lurking here for a few years. Tomm I'm renewing contract at gym (been out for 7 weeks). In the midst of divorce (she cheated, I filed.....she won't work either) tons of work pressure and trying to keep son engaged w school is making it difficult get/stay sober. I also retain employment in the very competitive (and boozy) legal industry. I've boxed competitively since I was 8 and will get back at it, trying to make a new life. Another day one tomm. Yes I have a plan, absorb myself in the gym, work and moving to freedom . There are AA meetings close to here at 5:30 and will likely incorporate those as well. If you're still reading thank you :0) I know there are great people here who have endured much worse and I would feel bad about finding solace in that but I know you all understand because we are here for the same reason.
