Been a while.

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I've been on here but have missed it!!!! I've now said my 3rd step prayer with my sponsor and am trying hard to work AA to the best of my ability but now as I move to the forth, it's like my disease is trying to pull me back even harder!!!!!! Any similar experiences?

The prospect of the 4th step is scary, and fear is one of our biggest enemies. BUT the 4th step will sort lots of that out, so keep going and don't let your AV spin you a line.

Keep going

Yes fear can be debilitating Shays Mum but thinking one day at a time makes it less daunting

Welcome back Shay

I'm not a 12 stepper but my addiction definitely 'fought back'...just remember you are stronger than it can ever be - you have support and all the tools necessary.

If you ever feel vulnerable know that you have support here - SR saved my bacon more than once
