6 Days, Feeling in a haze

Today was really weird. I got up really late because I'm getting so depressed that's where I want to be. Finally got up and ran some errands, (mostly making sure I got my Antabuse picked up) and after getting gas I was putting the amount into my budget and then I just drive off with the nozzle still in my car ( thank God I was the only one at the pump), run back and put it away, then I was going to the movie with my daughter and completely miss the turn and slam my thumb in the car door really hard. This is day six and I'm still in a fog, makes me want to stay in bed even longer.

Early days are rough, no way around it. Hang in there, it will get better.

Thanks, I hate the way I feel and I cannot wait to be clear again. Hopefully that will help with the depression also.

It will help--I was always anxious and depressed the first week after stopping.

Yep, the first days can be difficult. You have gone through many cycles of withdrawal as well, and unfortunately they tend to worsen each time. Do you have a contact at the inpatient program that you just finished to work with during the early days moving forward?

Yes I do, I am actually still in a continuing care program that I go to once a week. It helps a lot.
