Just checking in / Day 2

So today has not been to bad, I was quite busy at work so that helped .
Planning on an early bed time , I'm exhausted.
Thanks for all the support here, it helps just to read others posts.

Sleep is great; so much healing takes plae while we sleep.

Hope that tomorrow is even better, Augustine.

It's good that you can sleep. Sleep is when we repair ourselves.

I felt oddly sedated when I quit the first time. Of course, it goes away. Maybe it is a natural instinct to sleep while healing. And, a little bonus that you're snoozing and not up and thinking about drinking.
Good job on day 2! Let us know how day 3 goes for you!

i was gona start a thread called just checking in as its been a while lol but i see its already started so ill just post here! sunday was 6 weeks sober feeling pretty good but AGAIN ill mention this horrible damn fatigue?!?!?! how long does this last?? i feel so drained constantly even brushing my teeth my arm will start burning so you can imagine how difficult work can be (physical job). Anyway id rather be tired than tired and hungover so its definitely better - i didnt realize how much i was missing out on by just being bed ridden for days at a time with hangovers, life without them is fantastic and i have no urge to trade this in for anything. I play hockey almost every day before work and i go gym occasionally - the sober life is treating me well currently. one thing i will say is that if i try to drink energy drinks/coffee to fight the fatigue, it just exacerbates my anxiety so thats defo a no go lol. hope youre all doing well!!

Thanks everyone.
Sleep was great and made to an AA meeting before work, I'm going to have to figure out how I can do it everyday without being noticed at work, it just helps to start the day that way.
Waking tired but not hungover is definitely better
Have a great day, I'll check In again this evening.

I think detoxing and withdrawal are akin to trauma. Its really hard on the human body. Wish you the best. Hang on there.
