Worse after AA?
Almost nine months sober. I entered a relationship with an unhealthy person in AA. Some days I feel like I was better off with a counselor and a strong mind. I hate saying I am an alcoholic. Is AA a cult? I am tired of feeling dumb, weak, and scared. My relationship was very abusive and I feel like it ruined my life.

Hi Ach,
the Secular Connections forum is for discussion of secular methods of recovery.
It's not the place to discuss problems with AA or other 12 step programmes.
You can do that in just about any other forum
If you want to start another thread on secular approaches to recovery, you can do that here
