Pro to being sober #13

Estimate I'm saving (not spending) no less than $25 a week since I quit. That equates to the $100 a month I pay for my unlimited gym membership and which provides me so much more benefit. That also equates to monies that I could be using to make fun memories with my family and kids, which would be so much more meaningful than the memory of the six pack I consumed each evening. That also equates to nice charitable contributions that could be making to causes that I already donate time and energy.

Yay! I'm thinking back...at the end I no longer drank at bars. I drank at home. I probably spent close to $25/day on booze. That's $175 a week/$700 a month/ $8400.00 a year. Nuts.

Lest I forget, $100 was more than enough for the new tattoo I wanted and got two days ago :-)

I spent at least $70 a week drinking. Probably because I didnt drink liquor or didnt drink cheap beer. But yeah I havent really noticed that much different in my bank account, but my credit card bills are lower!

Sobriety keeps on giving!!

Having an "emergency/savings fund" was one of my goals when I got Sober, and I got there, if I get a flat tire, an unexpected bill, want to check out a concert or visit my sister in England, I don't now have to turn to my credit card, it's an amazing feeling of freedom!!
