Hello all,
I am fairly new to this and currently feeling everything out. The more and more I read the more it hits me that this is something I need. I, myself am not an addict but my bf is. So far one piece that I read really has resonated with me and it is that "he is not doing it to you, he is doing it to himself." I think I have really just realized that I may suffer from some codependency issues and I must start to help myself rather than constantly offering him my support and help. I guess I am still just trying to figure out where to go from here. Anyways, I wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

Welcome to the family. We also have forums for friends and family of alcoholics and addicts. Might find some good insight there.

The F&FoA forums are full of wise people who've been where you are. As a recovering alcoholic myself, I find a lot of value in reading there -- it helps me understand how I, and my addiction, affected the people I love.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome sunnydayz

I think codependency can often go hand in hand with an active addiction.
I know you'll find support and hope here
