76 days sober

No more weekends in jail. I've noticed not eating much on the weekends has help me lose a little weight. Perhaps I should buy some really horrid food as I still need to drop a pound or two, just a thought. Worked really hard today and will be sore tomorrow. That's good for me also. Time to plan something interesting for the weekend. It's late am I tired.

As bad as it was, sitting somewhere is easy. Not drinking is relatively easy, the next part is going to more work. Hopefully I will not be depressed Mondays. That's 3 days I get back every week. Gotta start making some changes, being more productive and doing more entertaining things. Motivation isn't my strong suit. I know that the less I do the more alcohol will tug at me. I'm not going to remain sober if all I do is not drink. That's seems to be the hard part, building a life I should have be building 30 years ago.

On the plus- I still have 80 hours of community service to complete. Lots of choices. I'm trying to find one that I can continue after the court is satisfied. There is one working with recovering alcoholics that requires an alchol related charge-go figure. Not sure I want to work that one, maybe too much?

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

I couldn't agree more! If all we do is not drink...it makes for a pretty meaningless existence at best. And as we all know, the Devil makes work for idle hands.

Like you, I'm proactively reaching out to enrich my life. Lots of catching up to do! With your weekends free, and the Springtime coming, the timing couldn't be better for you to find new things that bring you a smile.
