Day 6 (again)

I don't really have much to say. I just know I need to have some online friends. I'm living in a very isolated place without local friends. Trying to stay optimistic and change my life for the better.

Weird thing I noticed today. I was finishing off the last of a jar of pepperoncini peppers and saw there was still 1/2 a jar of juice. I started to put it back in the fridge for bloody marys.

I still don't trust myself to go to the grocery store. I'm hoping that goes away before I run out of food. LOL

I'm almost over the beating myself up phase and the uncontrollable crying has diminished a lot.

Okay, I guess I had more to say than I thought.

That's a great place to be after 6 days. It sounds like you're doing well. The first week is so tough.

Welcome back! Beating yourself up does no good. When I was immersed in self loathing I usually ended up drinking more, just to forget it.

Good job on six days sober. Keep going, it gets better.

My recovery plan... don't drink. Come here for support. Don't leave the house until I can trust myself to not buy alcohol. Finding other things to do. Focus on my job (I work from home). Train my puppy. Work on fixing up my house. Daily yoga and meditation.

I'm on day 6 also and I do feel a lot better. Sometimes I do feel like buying some drink cause I don't have friends either so I get down a lot, but I want to continue with recovery.

Thank you for the links, Dee. It's too late tonight but I'll take a look tomorrow. I know I need to find a productive way to manage major life stresses because those are just going to happen!
