And I've decided that it's time to start looking for a group. I can't do this alone anymore. This forum is a great place, but in real life I feel very alone. So Sunday I'm going to my first women's group.

My moods have been up and down a lot lately. Pretty nervous at times, and second guessing myself a lot. This has to stop. I have to get out of my head and focus on more positive things. I didn't hear about PAWS until recently. This must be what is happening? I feel good and then all the sudden I'm not okay.

So wish me luck on Sunday. I really need some sober friends.

You don't need any luck, but face-to-face support could make all the difference. It really does take time to feel better and there will be ups and downs like that.

I think a lot of us feel the effects of PAWS. It can actually last for up to two years, but you're doing great.

Do whatever you need to do to keep on moving forward!

You will not need luck on Sunday. I'll bet you have a very enjoyable time. Almost all the groups I've been to were very welcoming.

115 days is great! So happy for ya! And yes PAWS is a real thing; for me it peaked around 3-4 months then got better. All kinds of annoying problems like anxiety, dizziness, up and down emotions...it stinks but I found looking back at the end of each day and saying, "I got through the day," helped a lot. Hang in there!
