This time the flu is a blessing

I'm starting to come down with the flu fast. It started an hour ago and I'm pretty damn sick already. It's not a cold, I know those. I've had the flu only once before when I was a child.

It's flu-time here and it reached me apparently.

Why post this? Because this time it's a blessing. It reminds me of my hangovers. And reinforces how I never want to experience one again.

Actually, I hope this is going to be a bit of a heavy flu. Call it aversion therapy.

So, I'm going to crawl into bed. Probably won't post for a while. But I'll be back.

I hope you recover quickly. Having the flu is no fun.

Like the positive attitude but sorry you are ill.

Crawl under the covers and drink lots of non-alcoholic fluids.

Chicken soup couldnt hurt.

Note for next year -- get shot.

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Nasty stuff going around, I've had a bug for the last five days.

Drink plenty of fluids, eat light but plenty, get plenty of bedrest.

Early on for me, I had an ear infection. Greatest sickness every. Got put on antibiotics which gave me the best ever excuse to not drink. Guaranteed 10 days sober after that (at the time, dang near a record). Hope your flu is all you want it to be

Congratulations on getting yourself to a better place.

Thank you. It's funny to be sitting here, full-blow flu and be grateful for it.

You know, ZeldaFan, this forum brings me a lot of joy. So many wonderful people with their own ways of helping those who need help.

And I loved Zelda on Nintendo as a kid.

Ok, I need the rest. I am torn between letting go and wanting to be here. But I know the smart thing to do is to rest and heal. So I'm going with the smart thing.

See you all later!
