Just found the Forum
So, today is day 26 and when I am at work, from time to time I just read the big book online to get motivation when I am feeling weak or just looking to read other peoples journeys. This is my third attempt and for some reason, have very much enjoyed the fellowship of others, before it was selfish. Tomorrow evening I am requesting an AA member to sponsor me... before I was always confident that with meetings and readings I would be successful.. (that didn't work) I am just glad my relapses are a couple weeks at a time before the guilt overwhelms me. Anyway, I look forward to keeping in touch with this forum when I need some help or inspiration.

Welcome to the forum. And good on ya for getting a sponsor and starting the step work. That was when things started to get better for me. I'd managed to stay sober, just, for 9 to 10 months before I got the willingness to actually work that part of the program, but it wasn't a particularly healthy sobriety. Those steps changed my life.
