Hi everyone

I have a habit of posting for a couple days and then disappearing again, but I still read pretty much every day.

Past week or so I've been reading MikeM's posts and have been inspired to try again myself.

Welcome back Grendhar. What do you think you might try differently this time?

I don't know what I will do differently .. have been thinking about that question all day. In the past I've decided I would go to A.A meetings. I go to one and then convince myself of some reason not to go again. Gas, miles on car, not liking the specific kind of meeting..

Guess it is a matter of .. I can list a bunch of good ideas and appear to have a plan .. but until I can take ACTION I won't make it.

I'm so happy to hear that! I'm glad you're inspired to try again yourself.

Do. Take action. Make a plan. Post.

You can do this!

You don't put your mind, body and soul into it. Dedicate yourself to sobriety with each and every part of it! Little secret: that can be highly joyful.

ACTION with DEDICATION. Full dedication with all of your being.

Why not start out by taking that dedication, take Dee's post on making a plan and fully and completely work through everything in there?

For your convenience, here is the link.

Thanks for the link Mike. I've looked it over before but never seriously. Probably a good day to get serious.

That was exactly what happened with me. I've looked it over a few times but never seriously either, until the last time. And it was key in keeping me sober.

Get serious about it as though your life depends on it. Because it does.
