Don't let your thinking get too weird!
That's what I am trying to do. Must have called almost 10 AA's but everyone is busy. Need to get my thinking back to optimal levels haha. Felt my attitude dropping. Haven't been to a meeting since Friday. I know what I need to do, but won't be at a meeting until tomorrow morning. Anyways needed to come on here and post to try to get a dose of recovery. I try not to let my thinking get too off. This always happens when I skip meetings. Not gonna drink or anything, but my attitude is suffering. Meetings are about more than just staying sober. Glad you guys are part of my recovery.
I'm glad you posted.
Have you tried Mindfulness. It helps to keep you grounded in the moment and focusing on 'now', rather than the past or future. The practice of mindfulness involves being aware moment-to-moment, of one's subjective conscious experience from a first-person perspective.

My attitude is terrible today. I'm resentful at someone and I have such a hard time dealing with being angry! Ugh! Anyway, someone sent me this video of a puppy playing the drums. It cheered me up.

I listen to a lot of podcasts/stations or other things that help keep my mind on track. Or go look up recovery stuff online, including coming here.
It's wonderful that you at least recognize it. If I don't pay attention, my thinking will veer off in that direction and take off on me if I don't catch it!

Good idea recommending AA speakers! I'm doing better. Have the music playing. A big part of my recovery is addressing these issuee before they get too big. Losing my positive attitude would just he the beginning. Glad everyone is here. Maybe I'll come to the meeting later. Have some school work to do. Love you all.
PS Re calling AA's. I often find sending a text and asking when a good time to call would be works better than just calling cold, as people are often at work or driving or whatever, but may well be available for a 5 minute check in shortly so can let you know when they're free. Esp if it's someone who hasn't necessarily got your name and number saved on their phone so don't know who's trying to get them.
