I made it to 4 years
Hello everybody
I made it to 4 years without a drink.
Other years I have proud, celebrated the day, felt glad, felt happy.
Not this year.
I just feel numb.
I feel frightened.
I feel strange
Whatever happens thanks for the support and love and care you all give me here.

Hi Sasha
I really think this is one day you should feel proud - with no buts.
I can remember when stringing 4 days together was a mammoth achievement - I know you can too.
You've done amazingly well on a road that's not been easy and you've inspired me
If there's one thing I wish for you in your 5th year it that you find peace and happiness.
I hope you'll give some thought to maybe talking to a doctor or therapist about why it is you feel strange scared and numb.
Give yourself some of the care and love you've given freely to so many others here. You deserve it
congratulations on 4 years

Continue to grow and experience many
wonderful healthy changes in your life.
It's okay to celebrate this awesome
achievement as you remain strong
and grounded in your sobriety.
This is one gift in your life that truly
belongs to you because you own it,
worked for it, live it day by day.
Be ready to accept many more
terrific gifts coming your way
as you continue to build a strong
solid recovery foundation to live
your life upon.
Even the littlest, simplest gifts such as
a small bud getting ready to blossom,
to the bright warm sun above you, to
the soft covers you snuggle up in each
day that comes to a close remaining
sober remembering to say quietly to
yourself or shout it to the roof tops,
PLEASE and THANK YOU to your HP-
Higher Power that makes all this absolutely
possible.
Never hesitate to share your own ESH-
experiences, strengths and hopes of your
journey to us who walk side by side with
you in your heart, mind and soul.
Good Job..!!!!!

Many congratulations - how wonderful on 4 year sobriety!
How many amazing things you must have experienced on your journey.
I'm sorry you're feeling off kilter. Please do visit your doc - take care of yourself.

Wow. Such an accomplishment! And thanks for the update, I'm glad to hear you made it through.
I second the idea of finding a therapist to help get to the bottom of your case of the blues. Even when things were at their worst, I knew I had someone in my corner and that always helped.
Again, congratulations!

Congratulations on 4 years Sasha!!! You have been such a positive member of this forum for me, and I know many others.
I am sorry you are feeling down, I agree with Dee that talking to a doctor or therapist may help you start to feel yourself again.
Sending lots of love and celebration your way!!
