Some days I forget Im an alcoholic

And its those days I love! When I feel good in myself, happy and content in my life, enjoying sobriety and then bang the AV creeps in completely unawares, thats when being an alchie sucks. Im trying to identify why the cravings and urge to drink comes back, or maybe there doesnt have to be a reason, is it just the nature of the illness?

Im 89 days since my last drink x

Way to go Blue!!! 89 days is amazing!

Those days will be fewer and further apart with more time. It sounds like you're adjusting to life without alcohol really well.

Have a great day today

Blueberry, you are doing so well!

I'm glad you have days when you're simply happy and content with life. That's what recovery is all about. Hopefully you will continue to have more and more days like that.

Im around the same time as you. Some days the AV pops up but supressing it gets easier and shorter.
I also notice lately that the time from when i wake up in the morning to when i think of the first drink is getting longer and longer..
The 3 month mark is awesome, youll start to truly embrace sobriety over thext three months. It gets more fun!

One thing Ive noticed is that I no longer have a glass of soft drink in my hand constantly! When I first got sober I always had a glass in my hand, probably more often than I did whilst drinking tbh. Im seeing that as a good sign!

congrats on 89 day blueberry. For me, the more I went on sober, building a life I loved, the less the crazy thoughts of drinking again bothered me.

I couldn't tell you when I had my last one.
