Day 14

Woah. Still in this program. Fatigued. So many group meetings. I think they just try to get us busy. I give my drinking history tomorrow. Worried they'll find out I'm a phony. Not a real alcoholic.

Hey Press ,
if drinking was / is a problem and effects your life negatively then you're in the right place.
Some people might not think we're like them but that is often the alcoholism talking.

Either way, we drink more than someone or less the drinking tries to manipulate things to justify and maintain itself. Thats what we've got in common

Another way to put it is that non-alcoholics don't sit there wondering if they are alcoholics or not .

Keep on , sobriety is worthwhile ,

Like I've said to you before there are no qualifications necessary. If drinking was a problem for you and you want to stop, you qualify as much as anyone else does.

Don't let your AV fool around with this, Press.

This is you

My relationship with my mother
My credit
Traveling - I've been to Hawaii, Sweden, India and Belize
I became a river rafting guide
I took up cycling and have ridden the AIDS Ride twice (545 miles from SF to LA)

Guitar - I suck but it's fun!
Being able to look people in the eye
Not waking up and living a life full of constant shame
Being able to see my side of the street and actually say "I'm sorry."
Showing up to see my dad pass on, scattering his ashes
Leading a volunteer group

I hate that my head alcoholic thinking or whatever compares. Screw that. I want to keep what I built and achieve more.

I LOVE this site, you people. You got me here. Today is day 10. I'm getting choked up. Gotta get my son ready for school.

I take it they didn't call you a phony and throw you out barefooted in the cold?

Nope. They clapped but who knows what they were thinking. Ok, I'm officially nuts. Lol. I'm where I belong.
