Very Close!!!!
They were great reasons. I'm with my wife and two girls. I just need to eat and then I'll be fine. This food can't come fast enough. Not a good time to quit. Right before vacation. I can do it. I think......
Wow. U talk about a drunk fest. There are people everywhere drinking. On rooftops, hanging out windows, everywhere. Bad idea for vacation spot. My wife was just singing along with my girls and I snapped at her " Quit being so happy ". Dam it.
I have faith in you MB8.Stay focused - you have every reason in the world not to drink
Even if you're not AA (I forget) maybe looking up the local meeting schedule might be an idea if you're feeling constantly tested?

MB - what you're feeling is normal for the early days. I was very resentful and angry too. I was sorry for myself, even though I knew I had to stick to my plan of not allowing a drop into my system. These feelings will ease up and eventually disappear as you get more sober time behind you. I'm glad you wanted to talk about what's going on.
Hard Rock Cafe is notoriously slow for getting you food in every location I have been in. You are only noticing the people who are drinking but I bet there are a good amount who aren't for various reasons unless you are in an isolated situation like a concert or something that attracts drinkers. But non drinkers go to concerts etc. Just stay strong enjoy your meal and maybe get a tee shirt so you can look back on it and be like "Hell yeah I was sober here in the beginning of my road to permanent sobriety".
For me HALT was a great tool for sticking to the plan, if you're feeling Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired, that can open the door to cravings.
So making sure all bases were covered, for me was a great way to keep the Sober days flowing early on!!
